SOURCE MATERIAL

THE MATERIAL AT DPI IN TIMONIUM IS NOW CURRENT AND UP-TO-DATE.

To assist our membership seeking information on promotional exams,
the REVISED 2007 Lists of Source Materials for Promotional Exams can be accessed below.

"The Fire Department will make a diligent effort to make the above referenced source materials available in station libraries. However, the Department accepts no responsibility for the availability of these materials being present in station libraries for promotional examination study purposes."

You may purchase copies of the Source Material from DocuPrint Imaging (DPI). 
We suggest you call first to order your study packet.  DPI has three different locations to serve you:

Note:  The standard packages INCLUDE the Rules & Regulations and the Fire Prevention Code (if applicable),
so if you do NOT need them be sure to say so.  Please advise if your packet is not correct.

    According to Section 8.5, Test Scheduling, of the Memorandum of Understanding, promotional examinations for sworn employees will be given on the following schedule (click the rank to link to the actual list of study materials IN MS WORD):

• Fire Captain ~ February 

• Fire Specialist ~ April 

• Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator ~ July September 2007 (per new MOU effective July 2007)

• Battalion Fire Chief ~ September

• Fire Lieutenant  ~  December (1st two weeks, even years)

• EMS Lieutenant ~ December (1st two weeks, odd years)
