Once again this year the members of the Baltimore County Professional Fire Fighters Association will be collecting  over Labor Day weekend to help Jerry's Kids and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Our efforts in 2007 resulted in over $103,000 collected for MDA.  In 2008 our member participation level was at an all time high:  For the first time in many years EVERY STATION in the County collected. Over the years, Baltimore County has collected over $903,500 for Jerry's Kids (*see below) ... no small percentage of the IAFF's total of over $375 Million.

This is the 55th year the IAFF has teamed up to help beat Muscular Dystrophy.
Please plan to go hit the streets of Baltimore County and COLLECT FOR MDA over LABOR DAY WEEKEND!

"We have complete records from the past 11 years, since 1998. Your Local started filling the boot again for MDA in 1999, and since then your Local has raised $553,869 with Fill the Boot and Bull Roasts …
of course we know that your Local raised a tremendous amount of money in the 80’s and early 90’s.
We don’t have those records or amounts unfortunately, but seem to recall it was about $250,000 for 4 years or so in the heyday – so we’d guess maybe about $1.5 million before we started our records in 1998.
It must be over $2 million now I would think."
