As you can see we still need team members for some shifts, particularly from Support Services.  If you are interested in helping, please contact either the shift coordinator or Mike Rehfeld, or email either Mike Rehfeld or the Union Office.

The Battalion teams will be responsible for dealing with the issues that arise on their respective shifts. As the committee continues to grow and formulate the policies to provide for our Brothers and Sisters in need, we will provide those policies to the shift teams for distribution.

We are finalizing plans for the following items:

  • Notification Process (Mike Rehfeld)
  • Pastoral Support (Tom Pinder)
  • Team Training (Kaaren Priester & Chuck Evans)
  • Hotel Accommodations (Jack Amrhein & John Myers)
  • Transportation Needs (Linda Sears & Bryan Hardesty)
  • CISM Issues (Frank Cook, 4-C)
  • Endowment (Yogi Schreiber)

Our current priorities are Line of Duty Injuries and Line of Duty Death situations. We are setting up programs through the National Fire Academy and the IAFF to train our team members in dealing with these situations. Following the establishment of this portion of the program, the committee will tackle the non-line of duty injury and illness issues as well as member hardship issues.

If any member has suggestions or comments, or wishes to join us, please contact your Division Coordinator or me directly.

Be Safe!
