Baltimore County Coalition
I serve as the Chair of the Baltimore County Coalition. This organization was established to provide fair and thorough representation of all employees in Baltimore County. Starting last year, the Coalition has resumed its monthly meetings of the leadership of the following organizations: the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Local 921; the Federation of Public Employees; the Baltimore County Federation of Public Health Nurses; the Baltimore County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #4; the Baltimore County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #25 (Sheriffs); the Baltimore County Professional Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 1311; the Baltimore County Retired Employees Association; the Baltimore County Retired Fire Officers and Firefighters Association; the Baltimore County Retired Police Association; the Supervisory, Management, and Confidential Employees; and the Teachers Association of Baltimore County. Collectively, we currently represent the 19,400 active and retired employees of Baltimore County. Other associations may participate as well, increasing our ranks. We will work together to share information about work benefits, quality of work life, retirement and insurance programs, etc. We will join forces to monitor activities in Towson, Annapolis and Washington, DC, which may affect our collective membership.
